14 DAY TRIAL // Micromax is on fire once again, as the handset maker has launched no less than three entry-level Android smartphones in India and plans to bring another one within the next few days.
The affordable Micromax Bolt A24, A37B and A46 are now available for purchase in India via Flipkar and Infibeam retailers, fonearena reports.
The cheapest of the three, the Bold A24 can be had for only Rs 2,999 ($48 / €35) outright, while Bolt A46 is available for purchase for just Rs 4,490 ($71 / €53) off contract. The most expensive is Micromax Bolt A37B, which is now available for purchase for Rs 4,729 ($75 / €56).
Apart from the three affordable Android smartphones that are now up for purchase at various Indian retailers, Micromax will also launch the Bolt A37, which seems to have similar specs as the Bolt A37B model that’s already available on the market.
Specs-wise, all three devices are far from being impressive, but that’s not the point anyway. The Bolt A24 ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system out of the box and packs a 1 GHz Spreadrtum SC6820 processor.
The smartphone sports a 2.8-inch QVGA capacitive touchscreen display, a VGA rear-facing camera and support for 20 regional languages.
Next in line, the Bolt A37B comes with a slightly larger 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen display and a 1GHz MediaTek MT6572M processor. It also offers 3G connectivity and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.
Micromax Bolt A37B packs 256MB of RAM and 512MB of internal memory, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). There’s also a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera and a VGA camera in the front.
Last but not least, Bolt A46 has the same features as the Bolt A37B, except that it sports a larger 4-inch WVGA display and LED flash for the rear camera. It also lacks 3G connectivity. It is also worth mentioning that all three budget-friendly smartphones offer dual-SIM support.
