Chinese start-up ZUK is expected to launch its first Android smartphone with the help of Lenovo, one of the largest Chinese handset makers.

Their upcoming smartphone is dubbed Z1 and some of its specs have already been unveiled during dedicated events.

We already know that the ZUK Z1 will pack Type C USB port, as well as a huge 4,000 mAh battery that should keep the lights up for more than a day (hopefully).

Lenovo-backed ZUK also confirmed that its Z1 flagship smartphone will come with fingerprint scanner, U-touch and a gesture system that should work flawlessly.

These are just some of the specs that ZUK announced in the last couple of weeks, but GizChina reports that even more info on the Z1 has just been revealed by the Chinese company.

For example, it looks like the ZUK Z1 will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, which is quite surprising considering Lenovo is usually putting MediaTek and Intel CPUs inside their phones.

Unfortunately, it's unclear which Qualcomm chipset will power the Z1, although judging by the phone's other specs, it will most likely be the Snapdragon 810.

No microSD card, but powerful CPU and camera

ZUK Z1 will also be packed with 3GB of RAM and either 16/32 or 64GB, which means there's little chance that the smartphone will feature microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Furthermore, the smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display of unknown resolution. On the back, the Z1 should pack a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording.

The ZUK Z1 will be powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but the Chinese company also mentions CyanogenOS as well. Perhaps there will be two versions of the smartphone available in different regions.

Last but not least, ZUK confirmed the Z1 would be launched on the market sometime in August and that the smartphone will be available in China, but also in Europe.
