Last year, ZTE announced that it would be gathering suggestions from users on developing a new smartphone. The company was interested in which features consumers would like to have on a phone, tools that aren’t found in any other phones on the market.

We have to say that ZTE gathered some interesting ideas from fans and even urged them to pick a name for the upcoming phone. ZTE Hawkeye was listed on the Kickstarter platform recently and the features that fans suggested were also presented. However, the company didn’t post specs for the new phone until now.

ZTE has just posted the specs for its ZTE Hawkeye phone, which is already available for pre-order on Kickstarter for $199. The price of the phone might change after the funding period ends, so fans of the new phone should certainly hurry up.

Fans can still vote on the color and material of the phone

ZTE Hawkeye will come with Android Nougat out of the box, although the listing doesn’t reveal the actual version of the Android OS. It will most likely be 7.0 Nougat, but then again, it could also be a newer version.

The phone will have a dual-camera setup on the back with 12MP and 13MP sensors that include optical zoom. Front camera capacity is set to reach 8MP, while the phone’s display might have 5.5 inches with 1080p resolution.

The phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with the option to expand to 256GB using a microSD card. It will also have support for dual-SIM card connectivity and a 3,000mAh battery, as well as Quick Charge 2.0. USB Type-C and a fingerprint scanner are also embedded on the phone.

ZTE is expected to start shipping the Hawkeye phone in September 2017 and fans can also vote 15 different options for the color and material of the new phone.
