14 DAY TRIAL // Chinese company ZTE has just announced three new Android smartphones for the mid-range market: Blade X3, Blade X5, and Blade X9.
According to a new report, all three handsets are now available for purchase in Russia, but ZTE is likely to launch them in other countries as well in the next couple of weeks.
The cheapest of the three, ZTE Blade X3, costs only $140 outright and features a decent 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that sports HD (720p) resolution.
Hardware-wise, Blade X3 comes equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.
Also, the smartphone packs an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
ZTE Blade X3's main selling point is the 4,000mAh battery inside, which should provide users with lots of hours of continuous usage.
Next in line, the Blade X5 comes with a similar 5-inch display that supports HD (720p) resolution and is powered by the same quad-core MediaTek 6753 chipset.
A global rollout is likely to happen soon
However, the smartphone packs a dual 8-megapixel camera combo (front and rear), so users will be able to take great pictures with both.
It also comes with a camera shutter positioned on the back side, as well as a much smaller 2,400mAh battery. ZTE Blade X5 sells in Russia for just $170 outright.
Last but not least, the most expensive of the three ZTE smartphones, the Blade X9, is available for purchase for $275, but it sports a much larger 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS display.
Also, it comes equipped with a more powerful 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory.
On the back, ZTE Blade X9 packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front.
The Blade X9 features a fingerprint sensor on the back and a 3,000mAh battery underneath the back cover. All three handsets come preloaded with Android Lollipop operating system.
