Yesterday, we told you that the Micromax-owned handset maker YU was prepping to launch two new smartphones in the wild. One of them will be a high-end affair possibly coming with a QHD display and a Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB of RAM under the hood.

The other one, dubbed the Yu4711, was supposed to be a low-end affair coming with decent specs, but nothing too mind-blowing. Well, hours before YU has had the chance to host its press event and officially unveil the device, the YU YUNIQUE has already been listed on Snapdeal, where customers will be able to exclusively pick it up from.

The listing got removed since then, but luckily, the folks at Fone Arena have managed to spot it before it got taken down.

As we told you a few hours ago, the YUNIQUE will come equipped with a 4.7-inch HD display, so a bit smaller than the YUPHORIA had to offer with its 5-inch screen. The phone features 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Under the hood sits a 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz working in combination with Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM plus 8GB of internal storage (expandable up to 32GB with microSD).

YU YUNIQUE starts selling on September 15

In the photography department, the smartphone benefits from an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture plus a 2MP front-facing camera with 83-degree wide-angle lens and f/2.4 aperture.

The handset will ship out with Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.

YU also throws in 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS features a 2,000 mAh battery out of the box. The YU YUNIQUE will be offered in Black for a price tag of approximately $75 / €67. YU will be offering two additional back covers in Serene White and Moonstone Grey colors for around $83 / €73.

The smartphone will become available starting September 15 via a flash sale. It remains to be seen if YU launches the premium YU5050 smartphone later today, alongside the YUNIQUE too.

Anyway, this is one of the cheapest Cyanogen OS smartphones we have seen arrive on the market, so if you are interested, you’d better mark down the date above in your calendar.
