Chinese company Xiaomi is the only handset maker ranked top five that has yet to reveal its 2015 flagship smartphones. Moreover, according to the latest hints coming from the company's officials, we might not even have a Xiaomi flagship smartphone this year.

The mythic Xiaomi Mi5 is now expected to be revealed in early 2016, and from what the company's CEO Lei Jun claims, it will be worth the wait.

If you don't believe in this kind of statements meant to increase the hype around a certain product, then the following picture showing the alleged Xiaomi Mi5 might convince you to wait until February 2016.

According to GizmoChina, the device shown in this image is none other than the rumored Xiaomi Mi5. The smartphone features a very thin bezel, which makes it look amazing. Hopefully, the phone will be as thin as possible, too.

Unfortunately, the picture posted by Xiaomi's official account doesn't come with any details about the phone's specs. In fact, the Chinese company didn't even reveal the name of the device, which many thought it to be the Mi Note.

However, if we look at the phone's display, the bezels are thinner than what the Mi Note was showing up until now, which is why there's a high chance this is the Xiaomi Mi5.

Xiaomi's first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 820 CPU?

Since we don't have any official confirmation on specs, here is what the rumor mill says about the Xiaomi Mi5. First of all, this might be Xiaomi's first smartphone powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 processor.

Also, the Mi5 might come with a Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory. No word on microSD card slot for memory expansion yet.

At the back, the flagship smartphone is said to boast an impressive 21-megapixel camera, whereas at the front there should be a secondary 8-megapixel camera for state-of-the-art selfies and video calls.

As mentioned earlier, Xiaomi Mi5 is expected to be unveiled early next year (January-February), so we expect more info on the flagship smartphone to emerge online, so stay tuned.
