Xiaomi is expected to launch its next flagship smartphones sometime next year, but we already know quite a lot about the Mi5's technical specifications.

The Chinese company promised to bring the Mi5 to the market in early 2016, and that fans should know that it will be worth the wait.

The reason for this delay is the launch of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset, which won't be ready until next year. Since Xiaomi Mi5 comes equipped with this powerful processor, the smartphone can't be released until then.

Now a well-known retailer has just listed the Xiaomi Mi5 on its online store with a $600 price tag attached to it. This is a rather low price for a flagship smartphone, which will also be one of the first to pack Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 chipset inside.

However, Xiaomi is known for the aggressive pricing of its smartphones, so the fact that Mi5 will be much cheaper than other flagships available on the market with similar specs shouldn't surprise anyone.

There will be multiple variants available, based on amount of storage

Speaking of specs, the retailer in question also listed the Xiaomi Mi5's hardware configuration, which seems to confirm some of the previous rumors.

For example, Xiaomi Mi5 will boast a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution.

As mentioned earlier, the phone will be equipped with a 64-bit 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB of RAM.

The Mi5 will pack either 16GB, 64GB or 128GB of internal memory, but there's no mention of microSD card slot for memory expansion.

At the back, the phone will feature a 20-megapixel photo snapper while in the front there's a no less impressive 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Xiaomi Mi5 will be powered by a 3,800 mAh battery and will offer support for global 4G LTE bands, as well as NFC (Near Field Connectivity). It will run Xiaomi's MIUI 7, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
