We’ve just told you that Xiaomi’s upcoming affordable smartphone, the Mi4c, has been just spotted, with an online retailer revealing a $230 / €204 price tag. According to the latest information we have regarding the phone, the device should launch on September 24 and become available on October 3.

Initially, the Chinese device maker will be making only 100,000 units available, but we speculate that another batch will be following in shortly, later in October. Well, a new report coming to us via WCCFTech (information picked up from Weibo) claims that Xiaomi will be offering not one version of the Mi4c, but two.

One of these models has showed up in the listing we were telling you about above, namely the one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. But Xiaomi is prepping another variation for more demanding customers, which should make it out with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

3GB is quite a lot for this upper-range phone, considering that even the high-end Sony Xperia Z5 Premium with 4K display launched with the same RAM capacity on board.

Xiaomi's next-gen cool phone will arrive soon

Anyway, the 2GB of RAM option will cost $230 / €204, but for the 3GB of RAM model customers will probably have to pay up to $75 / €67 extra. We’ll probably find out more about the exact pricing scheme when Xiaomi makes the Mi4c official on September 24.

Until then, in case you’ve forgotten, the Mi4c is expected to arrive with a decent 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and 438ppi (pixel per inch).

The phone takes advantage of a 1.8GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 on the inside, complemented by an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM out of the box. The Chinese-exclusive model packs a 13MP photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while up on the front there’s a secondary 5MP camera for video calls and such.

Last but not least, the Mi4c supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0, GPS and AGPS support. It relies on a 3,000 mAh battery and ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
