14 DAY TRIAL // Earlier this month, we told you that after the successful launch of the Xiaomi Mi4i in India, the company was looking to introduce a domestic variation in its home country, which was aptly dubbed the Mi4c.
The phone has been spotted in TENAA, so it’s pretty obvious that Xiaomi will make it official soon enough. The listing also revealed some of the phone’s specs, but this week we get to complete the list by virtue of another leak.
The folks at Gizmo China got a hold of a leaked image showcasing the upcoming Mi4c’s retail package, and here we are faced with another surprise.
We knew that the Mi4c would be a more powerful version of the Mi4i, but according to the new info, the phone will also feature a new USB Type-C port and not a regular one like the Indian version. Which is pretty good news for Chinese users.
Xiaomi will launch the Mi4c in China soon
If you missed our earlier scoop on the Mi4c, we’re taking the opportunity to remind you that the device is expected to make a debut with a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with full HD (1080p) resolution support.
On the inside, the unannounced handset should feature a 1.8GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, an Adreno 418 graphics and 2GB of RAM. In contrast, the Mi4i features a Snapdragon 615 processor in combination with the same 2GB of RAM.
The new handset comes with 16GB of internal storage, which is sadly non-expandable, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the new MIUI 7 ROM on top.
The smartphone also features a 13MP main snapper with dual-LED flash autofocus and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front lives a 5MP selfie camera, just like is the case with the Mi4i.
Last but not least, the Mi4c will be kept alive by a 3,100 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity and will bring dual-SIM support. Pricing specifications haven’t been announced yet, but it will be very interesting to see how much Xiaomi ends up asking for it. It should be very affordable, though.
