Xiaomi is preparing to announce another premium smartphone, and information on the upcoming device has been leaking for some time now. The latest leak is a teaser spotted by Playfuldroid, which shows the back of the phone.

There have been some rumors pointing towards a dual-camera setup on the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and the latest image confirms this piece of information. Indeed, the smartphone will have a dual-camera setup on the back, similar to a flagship that was recently released.

The teaser image shows a Xiaomi Mi Note 2 in black color which is strikingly similar to Apple's iPhone 7 Plus in jet black. The shape of the LED flash is a bit different, but the rest of the phone seems to have copied Apple's latest iPhone. The rear camera setup could have 13MP, while the front camera might come with 8MP.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 could come with Snapdragon 821 SoC

Xiaomi might announce the upcoming Mi Note 2 next month in China and two variants of the smartphone could be made available. The Pro version could run the latest processor model from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 821.

It could also have 8GB of RAM, although 6GB seems more realistic. The regular version might come with 4GB of RAM and run Snapdragon 820 SoC. The smartphone is said to draw power from a 3,600mAh battery with Qualcomm's fast charge technology. It could also have a 5.5- or 5.7-inch 2k AMOLED curved display, with Force Touch on top. The Pro version is also expected to have 256GB of internal storage.

The Mi Note 2 will be the successor to last year's Mi Note Pro which carried impressive specs, such as a 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB of RAM. It also had a 5.7-inch display and 64GB internal storage and a 13MP Sony rear camera, coupled with a 4MP front camera. The smartphone also had a battery capacity of 3,090mAh with Quick Charge 2.0 on top.
