The team at Microsoft in charge of the Xbox One is announcing that all those who own a home console and also have a PC or a tablet with Windows 10 can now use game streaming between the devices.

Gamers can activate the feature in order to get access to a wide array of titles even when they do not feel like staying in front of their home console.

The official Xbox Wire announcement also says that the official Xbox App on Windows 10 is being updated to integrate new features.

Party Chat has a new Start a Party option, while the My Games is getting improved automated discovery.

For Home, Microsoft has introduced easier access for streaming and a new Featured Game section, and there are also customization tweaks for the Profile.

Local game clips and images can be uploaded from the PC to the shared collection on Xbox Live.

Microsoft adds, "For PC owners that are new to the Xbox ecosystem, we are adding a feature to the Xbox app to help you create a new account, get a gamertag, and then land in a basic user experience that helps you get started finding games, earning achievements and using your activity feed."

More Xbox One features are coming to Windows 10 later in the year

The company is also teasing big news about the integration between the home consoles and the PC during the Gamescom event in August.

Microsoft wants to have one shared experience for gamers, regardless of whether they play on the Xbox One or on a Windows 10-powered device.

Some have suggested that full cross-platform play is one of the final aims for the current efforts, although no official announcement has been made until now.

Microsoft promises that gaming on the PC is one of its priorities and that the past problems linked to the platforms have been used as a learning experience.

The new HoloLens augmented reality headset will also be used for video games, but the first version will be mostly aimed at enterprise clients when it arrives in 2016, although a great demo for it was created around the Minecraft experience.
