14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has just revealed its very special winter holiday bundle, in the form of the Xbox One Elite package. It comes with a console that's equipped with a 1TB SSHD as well as one Elite controller. A new Special Edition Lunar White wireless controller has also been confirmed.
The Xbox One has been around since late 2013, and quite a lot of different bundles have been released by Microsoft throughout the years.
The Xbox One Elite bundle packs in some great things
The latest and greatest package has just been confirmed by Microsoft's Larry Hryb on his blog, in the form of the Xbox One Elite Bundle. The special edition includes an Xbox One console that's equipped with a hybrid SSD/HDD (SSHD).
It has two partitions, one on a solid state drive for the operating system and one on a regular HDD for games and other files. The main advantage, besides the increased storage space, is the fact that the console will start up to 20% faster when awoken from its energy-saving mode.
Besides the SSHD, the Elite bundle, as its name suggests, includes one of the new Xbox One Elite controllers, which allows for more customization and better quality, perfect for those who want a premium experience.
The new bundle is set to arrive on November 3 in the US exclusively from GameStop and Microsoft's own stores. It's unclear if the package will be available in other parts of the world. The retail cost is $499 (around €444).
Towards the end of September, Microsoft also confirms that it's going to debut an Xbox One Special Edition Lunar White wireless controller, which features a white and gold color scheme. It will be available only at GameStop in the US. Just like with the aforementioned bundle, it's unclear if it will arrive in other territories. It will cost $65 (around €58).
