We reported about one of the most popular torrent applications for Windows Phone devices, wpTorrent, a few weeks ago, when developers announced that users would be able to copy files to SD cards and other hubs.

More recently, wpTorrent creators have released a slew of updates that have added new tweaks and features and have improved the overall user experience. The latest updates have also fixed specific bugs that were identified by users or developers after the last major update hit Windows Phone Store.

Anyway, the most important change included in one of the last updates for wpTorrent is the removal of the speed limitation. For those unaware, when we reported on the application a few weeks ago, developers confirmed that there was a speed limitation of 300KB/s in the free version.

Well, it looks like this limitation has been removed from the free version, so you can now download with higher speeds, as long as your network provider accepts it.

Aside from this important change, developers have also fixed an issue that prevented users from adding phone hubs to file manager in some situations.

You can now download wpTorrent for Windows Phone 1.4.0.2 for free via Windows Phone Store. The application has been confirmed to work on all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
