14 DAY TRIAL // Blizzard is set to debut the next big update for its huge World of Warcraft MMORPG experience, in the form of patch 6.2.2. A variety of improvements and new mechanics are included, such as the option of using flying mounts across Draenor, not to mention a Mercenary mode for the competitive PvP experience, available only when there's a long waiting time to get into Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds.
World of Warcraft is still going pretty strong in terms of user count and active subscribers. Millions of fans are continuing to enjoy the massively multiplayer online role-playing game and many others are looking forward to the launch of the next big expansion - Legion - which was announced last month by the studio.
Patch 6.2.2 arrives today in WoW and brings some big things
Until the actual add-on is ready for its debut, Blizzard is set to roll out later today, September 1, a brand new patch for World of Warcraft, in the form of update 6.2.2.
Quite a few important additions are included in the new patch for the online game, such as the long-awaited option of using a flying mount on the Draenor area, which appeared in the game alongside the Warlords of Draenor expansion. Bear in mind that, if you want to access it, you'll have to earn the multi-part achievement Draenor Pathfinder.
In order to make getting into the Player-versus-Player mode easier and less of a hassle, the patch also adds a Mercenary mode that allows players to enter the PvP arena for the other faction. This is only available when the waiting time to get into Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds for your faction is longer than usual.
Your race will automatically change to reflect the other faction, but you'll still be able to earn the same rewards, with the exception of faction-specific ones.
New tweaks for the Timewalking system as well as many other improvements are also included in patch 6.2.2 for World of Warcraft. You can check out the full changelog, via the official website, below.
