14 DAY TRIAL // The next major expansion for World of Warcraft has just been revealed, in the form of Legion, the biggest add-on yet, which includes a demon hunter class inspired by iconic character Illidan Stormrage, as well as a new level cap of 110, and much more.
World of Warcraft has been around for over 10 years now, and while its number of subscribers has gradually decreased in recent times, Blizzard's MMORPG still commands a loyal following all around the world.
Legion is the next major WoW expansion
Now, at Gamescom 2015, Blizzard has officially revealed the next major expansion for World of Warcraft, in the form of Legion.
As its name suggests, the storyline brings back the Burning Legion faction and takes players to a whole new area called the Broken Isles.
In terms of actual gameplay changes, Blizzard brings a suite of major additions, starting with the all-new Demon Hunter class, which is inspired by the iconic Illidan Stormrage character from the Warcraft lore. The new class promises big play style changes, as well as visual ones, as you can see in the artwork below.
The story also focuses on Illidan and his Black Temple adventures, as Blizzard wants to explore many other portions of the Warcraft lore.
Other major gameplay improvements include an increased level cap of 110, not to mention a reworked honor system, as well as artifact weapons that promise special effects and designs.
Of course, like any World of Warcraft expansion, there will be new dungeons and raids, in addition to plenty of other activities and even class order halls and other things.
