It seems that the long teased alternate Ciri outfit downloadable content for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was offered on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 accidentally via the official stores earlier in the day and some gamers managed to download it and install it before it was pulled.

The official Twitter account of Marcin Momot, the community manager at CD Projekt RED, states that gamers should stay away from the new content for the moment because it is not official.

This means that it has not yet completed its testing period and might cause problems with the game.

At the moment, the development team is working on finishing the Q&A process for the alternate outfit for Ciri and launch will probably take place during the coming week.

In the coming days CD Projekt RED is planning to deliver a new big patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt labeled 1.07.

The among of new content that gamers will receive is so big that the company is not launching any additional DLC this week, focusing instead on implementing some of the changes that the community has been asking for since launch.

16 pieces of free content for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt were promised before the game was out.

Two expansions are already planned for the open world role-playing game

Even before launch CD Projekt RED has revealed that it will deliver Heart of Stone for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in October, adding a new ten-hour long quest that involves a mysterious figure known as the Man of Glass.

In 2016 gamers will also be able to get access to Blood & Wine, which takes them to a region where war is not present but a dark secret affects the population and introduces another twenty hours of gameplay.

In the meantime, CD Projekt RED will continue to listen to the feedback offered about the core mechanics and will seek to improve the title via patches.

This is the final video game in the franchise that has Geralt as a main character and the first one to use an open world concept.

CD Projekt RED has said that it plans to shift its resources to the development of the equally ambitious Cyberpunk 2077.
