Windows 10 comes with plenty of new features, including a modern Start menu, which by default comes with several live tiles, including for the Photos app.

As you might know from Windows 8.1, the Photos app automatically detects all imagines in the “My Pictures” library and shows them in the live tiles as a slideshow, but for some users, this new behavior comes as a big surprise.

This happened to reddit user FalloutBoS, who recently upgraded to Windows 10 and found that the Photos app live tile displayed his whole XXX photo collection in the Start menu.

“Loaded up WIN 10 last night and left it on to do its thing. Woke up to wife asking why I set it to rotate all my porn images right on the desk top view. I have no idea how to shut that feature off and that computer is staying shut down until I do,” he explained.

Turn the live tile off

Needless to say, keeping all pictures out of the Photos library is the best way to avoid such embarrassing moments, but if you like to keep things organized, you can always disable the live tile with just a click.

To do that, simply open the Start menu, right-click the live tile you want to disable, and there’s an option that allows you to turn off the slideshow, which sometimes could display unwanted photos.

Obviously, you can unpin the Photos app live tile completely if you want to be 100 percent sure that your privacy won’t be invaded, so yes, there are several ways to avoid getting yourself into such an embarrassing moment.

But according to FalloutBoS, it all ended nicely.

“My wife is very happy I admitted my mistake on this sub. She said I took my medicine and she now finds it quite funny. 'Ain't love grand?”
