Microsoft is once again ready to begin the public launch of Windows 10 Redstone 4, as the company has just pushed the RTM build to all rings of the Windows Insider program.

Windows 10 build 17134 is now available for download for users in the Fast, Slow, and Release Preview rings, which means Microsoft is very close to completing the testing process of the RTM ahead of the release.

If no major bugs are found, we’re being told that the first wave of systems should get the update beginning on Tuesday as part of the gradual rollout that Microsoft is using for new OS feature updates.

Microsoft has already delayed the launch of Windows 10 Redstone 4 once after it discovered a blocking bug causing BSODs in the previous RTM build labeled as 17133. The company then decided to release build 17134 as the new RTM instead of publishing a cumulative update in order to avoid any potential upgrade issues that could have happened on systems getting the latest OS version.

Windows 10 April 2018 Update

Now that this bug has already been fixed, Microsoft is now giving the final touches to the RTM build before beginning the public rollout, with a cumulative update fixing other small bugs likely to be published on day one. Further refinements would be released as the Redstone 4 update is issued for more systems.

What Microsoft hasn’t said, however, is what name it plans to use for this new update. Redstone 4 is the codename that the company uses internally for the update, and previously, it was believed that it could officially call the public version Windows 10 Spring Creators Update.

It now looks like this plan has already been abandoned and Redstone 4 could land as Windows 10 April 2018 Update in a move that certainly makes more sense given the timing of the launch.

It remains to be seen how Microsoft will call this update, but the version number will remain 1803.
