14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft has released a new Windows 10 Redstone 4 preview build for users in the Fast and the Skip Ahead rings, this time with several new features and improvements.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 build 17035 comes with improvements for Microsoft Edge browser, including options to mute a tab. This means that if one of the websites that you’re browsing has audio playing in the background, you can quickly mute only its tab to no longer hear the playing media.
Additionally, Microsoft Edge is also getting an option to save free EPUB books, as the software giant has apparently become very keen on making the browser quite a powerful eBook reader.
Windows 10 Redstone 4 will also refine the Settings app with more options, including for Windows Update. Starting with this build, you are allowed to limit the download bandwidth used by foreground downloads, while the sound controls that were previously available in Control Panel have now been moved to the Settings app as well.
Improvements for touch and hardware keyboards
The touch keyboard has also received some updates, including acrylic background as part of Microsoft’s Fluent Design System overhaul, as well as the standard touch keyboard layout available to more than 190 keyboards.
And last but not least, those who’re using Windows 10 with a hardware keyboard can now see three text suggestions when they’re typing, just like they’d be using a touch keyboard. All they have to do to pick one of the suggestions is to press the up arrow key to select them and then press space or enter.

What’s worth knowing is that PCs with AMD processors aren’t being offered this build because of a bug experienced during upgrading, and Microsoft says that it’s currently investigating and will provide a solution as soon as possible.
