If you’re looking for an easy way to watch movies on your Windows 10 Mobile phone, search no more because Popcornflix has finally landed on Windows 10 as a universal app with support for both PCs and mobile devices.

Before you ask, yes, Popcornflix is completely legal, and while it is indeed ad-supported, it comes with full Windows 10 support and a great collection of movies that you might enjoy watching on either a PC or a phone.

“PopcornFlix is a free, ad-supported streaming service that offers a variety of films and series in a growing number of countries all over the world. Our service is completely legal and does not require downloads, subscriptions or any other hassles - films are easily streamed on your device. PopcornFlix offers its viewers a wide array of content, ranging from big studio pictures to independent cinema, documentaries and cult classics,” the description posted in the store reads.

Looking forward to more updates

There’s one major issue, however. Popcornflix is only available to users in the United States and Canada, but that shouldn’t really be a problem if you know what to do. But on the bright side, it doesn’t even require registration or things like that, so you just launch the app, pick a movie to watch, and you’re done.

And with Continuum, it’s easy to see how great this app can be. If you plug your Lumia 950 XL into the display dock and connect it to a bigger screen, you can watch movies just like at the cinema, so there’s no doubt that there is huge potential in this app.

Certainly, there are improvements that could make it even better, and imagine how awesome it would be to get Cortana support and simply ask the personal assistant to play a certain movie or pause it while you rush to the kitchen to grab more popcorn. In the meantime, the current feature lineup is still definitely worth a try, so give it a shot and let us know what you think.

Thanks for the tip, Jer!
