Although previous rumors suggested that Microsoft could launch Windows 10 Mobile sometime in December, it looks like the Redmond-based company has decided to push for an earlier release.

The current build for Windows Insiders running the mobile version of Windows 10 is 10581, but build 10586 is the likely candidate for release, according to WindowsCentral.

On the other hand, Windows 10 Insiders are running build 10576, but here is something interesting that might happen next week.

According to sources familiar with the matter, build 10586 will be released on both PCs and smartphones on the same date, November 12.

Build 10586 will be the so-called Fall Refresh for PCs and is expected to be launched on November 12. It will bring many new long-awaited features and improvements for better performance.

All Windows Phone 8.1 users could get Windows 10 Mobile this month

However, the same build will be released to mobile devices as an RTM version. It appears that Microsoft will start sending Windows 10 Mobile build 10586 to mobile carriers this week, possibly for testing purposes.

If everything goes according to plan, Microsoft and carriers that approved the new build will be releasing Windows 10 Mobile build 10586 to Windows Phone 8.1 users on November 12.

Still, the release date might vary depending on carriers and region. There's a high chance that the majority of qualifying Windows Phone 8.1 devices will be getting the new Windows 10 Mobile update by the end of this month.

But, as we mentioned earlier, that will largely depend on carrier testing and approval in some markets, so we will know for sure next week.

In the same piece of news, Microsoft's Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are now aimed for a late November / early December release. In the United States, AT&T is expected to make the Lumia 950 available for purchase around November 20, rumors say.
