Microsoft has released Windows 10 Mobile build 15063.2 for insiders in the Slow ring, as the company advances towards the release of the Creators Update for smartphones too.

Windows 10 Mobile build 15063.2 was released for insiders only a couple of days ago and the only thing it brought was a fix improving the upgrade experience from the Anniversary Update to the Creators Update, confirming that Microsoft is indeed giving the final touches to the new OS release ahead of the public release.

“We have released Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15063.2 for Mobile to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. This build includes a single fix to enable the ability to update to Build 15063 from the Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Build 14393) on Windows phones,” Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, said when releasing the new build to the Fast ring.

Microsoft has recently confirmed that the Creators Update rollout would begin on April 11, but once again, the company hasn’t said a single thing about mobile phones.

Mobile phones getting it “soon”

On the other hand, a Microsoft spokesperson recently told us that the rollout would begin with PCs, as they’re considered a priority within the firm right now, with more devices like smartphones to get it at a later time.

There is not ETA or any other information on when the mobile release could begin, but we heard that the rollout should near completion by the end of May.

Windows 10 Mobile will bring several improvements to smartphones, but there’s no doubt that users expected this OS release to bring much more in terms of new features, especially given Microsoft’s efforts to keep PC and mobile in sync.

Features that are available on the PC, including here the blue light filter, aren’t ready for mobile phones just yet, so the hope is now that the Redstone 3 update would be more focused on smartphones than its predecessor.
