The folks over at AdDuplex have just released the latest statistics related to Windows Phone ecosystem, and the numbers in the statistics are consistent with what was happening in the last couple of weeks.

Since we're just a few months away from Windows 10 Mobile's official release, more and more Windows Phone users want to try out the new version of the platform.

This is probably one of the reasons Windows 10 Mobile has just leapfrogged Windows Phone 7 for the first time, even though not by much.

With 5.7% Windows Phone markets share, Windows 10 Mobile is just 0.1% ahead of the much older Windows Phone 7 version.

Obviously, Windows Phone 8 continues to be the dominant OS in the mobile version of Windows ecosystem with 79.3%, but that should change drastically the moment Microsoft releases Windows 10 Mobile.

Nothing out of the ordinary happening for now

Another interesting piece of information shown in the AdDuplex statistics is the fact that Lumia 1520 has just left top 10 Windows Phone handsets in the United States being replaced by HTC One M8, which wasn't that popular initially.

In the same piece of news, Lumia 635 remains the most popular smartphone in the United States that's powered by Windows Phone platform.

Similar highlights are offered for the European market where Windows Phone performs much better than in North America.

The EU5 region presented in the highlights consist of markets in the following five markets: France, Germany, Italy, Spain and UK.

Based on AdDuplex's numbers, Lumia 630 continues to be the most popular Windows Phone handset in Europe, followed by Lumia 520 and Lumia 635.

However, when it comes to worldwide statistics, Lumia 520 is the absolute winner with 15.3%, while Lumia 535 comes in second with 10.3%, followed closely by Lumia 630 with 9.3$. Check out the gallery below for more highlights on Windows Phone ecosystem.
