This fixes previously reported bugs, Microsoft says

Microsoft has just launched Windows 10 Mobile build 10586.36, which is delivered, just like the previous release, as a cumulative update available for both fast and slow ring insiders.

Windows 10 Mobile, currently in the final stages of development, is only getting fixes and performance improvements, so this update doesn't bring any new feature.

Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, has explained that this new cumulative update is specifically supposed to fix those bugs that forced the Windows team to pull 10586.29 and that blocked this version from being installed on a number of Lumia 950 and 950 XL devices.

“This build continues to address feedback we’ve received from Windows Insiders as well as customers using our brand new Windows 10 phones like the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. As with the previous release, this Cumulative Update continues to use the minor version for differentiating between each version - so this build will appear as 10586.36,” Aul says in a post.

Bugs still there

But this doesn't necessarily mean that this update will work flawlessly on Windows 10 Mobile devices. Since it's still part of the preview program, it could come with a number of bugs, but this time, Microsoft hasn't published a list of known issues.

Aul, however, points out that the Windows team is still hoping to get feedback in order to further improve the performance of the operating system ahead of the public release, which is now expected to take place in early 2016:

“Windows Insiders have provided great feedback on the upgrade experience from Windows Phone 8.1. We continue to use the feedback we get from Windows Insiders to improve the upgrade experience and this update has some improvements to that experience,” Aul adds.

All changes will be posted from now on in the Insider Hub app on devices running preview builds, so details will no longer be shown on the company's official blog.
