This build is currently in the internal fast ring

We're approximately 30 days away from the moment when Microsoft is finally expected to give the go-ahead to Windows 10 Mobile and release it to Windows Phone devices across the world, but the company's still working at full speed to get more builds ready for insiders.

And according to its own announcement, Microsoft should release a new build next week, after the eagerly anticipated Windows 10 device event on October 6 in New York, and now Gabe Aul, head of the Windows Insider program, provides us with a glimpse of the version number.

In a tweet posted today, Aul has briefly said that Windows 10 Mobile build 10559 is currently in the internal fast ring, which means that it's a worthy release candidate and could be the version to be shipped to insiders next week.

Releases at a faster pace

With around one month left until Windows 10 Mobile is supposed to see daylight, Microsoft is expected to ship new builds to insiders at a much faster pace, as it needs to get feedback on new features and resolve bugs before the public launch.

A similar strategy was used when the PC version of Windows 10 was launched too, with Microsoft rolling out three different builds in just a few days, with the very same purpose: try out the latest improvements on a wide array of hardware configurations and PC models to address any compatibility issues that might arise.

Microsoft has already promised to release Windows 10 Mobile builds at a faster pace after the launch of the PC sibling, and this is expected to happen in the next 30 days.

Typically, new builds are launched after release candidates first make it to the internal fast ring, then to the internal slow ring, and finally, to the public fast ring for insiders. So before getting build 10559, it also needs to be reliable enough to enter the internal slow ring too.
