Microsoft pushes this build to more insiders

Microsoft is now finalizing the Windows 10 Creators Update and there’s a good chance that build 15063, which was released to the Fast ring of the Windows Insider program last week, is the RTM version that’s projected to ship to everyone next month.

Today, Microsoft pushed the very same build to insiders in the Slow ring, a step that brings us closer to the public launch of the Creators Update expected to take place on April 11.

Microsoft only releases Windows 10 builds for Slow ring users when they’re more stable and the major bugs reported by Fast ring users are fixed. In conclusion, even if Windows 10 build 15063 is not the RTM, it’s certainly a candidate, though there’s a good chance this is the final version.

Public launch on April 11

Previous rumors indicated that Microsoft planned to compile Windows 10 Creators Update RTM in mid-March and ship it to insiders later the same month, so 15063 being the final build certainly aligns with all the speculation.

At this point, there are no new ISOs available for this build, but Dona Sarkar, head of the Windows Insider program, said they could be released next week.

Microsoft is reportedly planning to start the Creators Update rollout on April 11, but not all devices are getting it at the same time. PCs will be Microsoft’s priority, and smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile are projected to receive the update at a later time. The rollout would take place in stages, and it’s believed that Microsoft wants to complete it by the end of May.

Between this moment and April 11, Microsoft would continue working on fixes and improvements, so when Windows 10 Creators Update gets the go-ahead for retail users, the company is likely to ship a cumulative update including all these refinements. Given that April 11 is also Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday, cumulative updates are to be expected, so all these rumors just seem to make sense for now.
