The build still isn’t part of the Slow ring, though

Microsoft has just released new Windows 10 ISOs for insiders, allowing them to start fresh with the operating system straight from build 15002.

Even though Microsoft shipped Windows 10 build 15007 a couple of days ago, the new ISOs are for build 15002, just like the company promised last week when it released this version.

What’s also important to note is that this build is not available for the Slow ring in the Windows Insider program, so only Fast ring users should get it at the moment. On the other hand, build 15002 has been pretty stable so far on our testing systems here at Softpedia, so it’s probably just a matter of time until Microsoft does release this build to Slow ring users.

The new ISOs come in five different versions, namely the Home version, Enterprise, Education, Home Single Language, and Home China. They can be downloaded in either x64 or x86 flavors.

What’s new in this build?

Even though build 15002 is not the newest version, it’s still worth installing, as it brings quiet a lot of new features for insiders.

For example build 15002 introduced a new Blue Light filter, which automatically reduces the amount of blue light generated by your monitor, helping you sleep better at night, as Microsoft says, or work more easily after sunset, as we all do.

Additionally, there are also several Microsoft Edge improvements, such as options to set tabs aside, but also options that give users more control over updates. They can now pause updates for up to 35 days, which is a super-useful feature given the failure rate of some updates in the last 12 months or so.

Windows 10 build 15007 obviously comes with several other additional improvements, but for the moment, Microsoft doesn’t seem to be willing to release ISOs for this one, probably given the big number of bugs that it still needs to fix. Build 15007 is also exclusively shipped to the Fast ring, so in case it ever makes it to the Slow ring, new ISOs could be released as well.
