Check out some of the improvements coming to insiders soon

Windows 10 build 14997 got leaked a couple of days ago, and although it’s an internal build that wasn’t supposed to be released to the public, it still includes some very interesting features that are very likely to be shipped to insiders in the coming weeks, before everyone gets them in the Creators Update.

First and foremost, Microsoft Edge, which is the new default browser in Windows 10, is getting its own share of updates, and some of them concern the way you work with tabs.

Microsoft Edge already comes with options to pin tabs, but starting with build 14997, the browser also offers another option that allows you to “set aside tabs.” This means that you are allowed to save tabs that you want to reopen at a later time during the same browsing session without losing them - check out the screenshots in the photo gallery below to see it in action.

Microsoft has also added a small tip notification when you first set tabs aside to make sure that you figure out how to use this feature.

Tab previews

Additionally, this new build also introduces tab previews, which you can access from a dedicated button in the tab bar, and this should come in handy especially when working with multiple tabs and you need to quickly find the one that you need.

As we’ve told you earlier today, Windows 10 build 14997 also comes with updated Flash Player settings for Microsoft Edge browser, with the browser now instructed to request the HTML5 version of a website if it’s available. This way, Microsoft continues its plan on giving up on Flash Player in Windows 10, providing users with more control over Flash Player content that they find online.

For the moment, all these features are only included in this leaked build, but they should be released to Fast ring insiders in early January when Microsoft resumes the Windows Insider program.
