Microsoft releases new ISOs for clean-installing Windows 10

Microsoft has just released official ISOs of Windows 10 build 14366, which are the easiest way to perform a clean install should you want to start from scratch with this build.

Windows 10 build 14366 was pushed to insiders in the slow ring last week, and although the company usually syncs this moment with the release of new ISOs, this time, the download links went live during the weekend.

The ISOs are available for all Windows 10 versions currently up for testing, including Home, Education, and Enterprise, and can be used for deploying both the 32- and the 64-bit flavors of the operating system.

What’s important to know is that these ISOs require a Windows Insider account, so make sure you’re part of the testing program before downloading them.

Also keep in mind that installing a preview build of Windows 10 comes with certain risks, such as bugs and issues that aren’t supposed to be there on a stable version of the operating system, and that’s the main reason the company doesn’t recommend users to run pre-release software on their main PCs.

The focus is now on bug fixes

Windows 10 build 14366 doesn’t bring too many changes in terms of new features, but it does come with an Office Online extension for Microsoft Edge browser that allows you to quickly launch the company’s productivity suite in the new default Windows 10 browser. Additionally, it also features a Windows Store update that prevents the app from crashing and using up too many resources.

On the other hand, there are plenty of bug fixes that are part of this build, especially because Microsoft is approaching the moment when it’ll sign off the Anniversary Update and release it to users. The update is expected to land in July, so we only have to wait a few more weeks to get it.

In the meantime, these ISOs should really come in handy to those who want to perform a clean install without building their own with the ESD update files.
