A new version of Windows 10 is up for grabs

Microsoft rolled out Windows 10 build 10565 one week ago, but as the company's working on another version that could bring more significant improvements, the Windows community is also doing its best and leaks unreleased builds to interested testers.

This time, the one that has got leaked is Windows 10 build 10568, but as you can easily guess just by looking at the small version bump, the changes you will find here are only minor.

Just as usual, we won't provide you with any download links for leaked builds, but if you're a long-time Windows insider, it shouldn't be too difficult to find them because they're published in the very same places as before.

And also keep in mind that Microsoft does not recommend users to install such builds, and no support will be provided in case something goes wrong. So if you really want to see what's new, it's better to simply install it in a virtual machine, where nothing bad can happen with your PC. Right now, it's not yet known if 10568 is the next release for insiders, but since it's just a small version increase, this is very unlikely to happen.

Threshold 2 approaching

Windows 10 build 10568 is, just like its predecessor, part of the Threshold 2 branch, which will bring us the first major update for the new operating system.

Threshold 2 is projected to launch in November with significant improvements to the Windows 10 experience, including a messaging app working across all devices, as well as support for extensions in Edge browser. The latter is actually one of the most eagerly anticipated features coming to Windows 10, as Edge would thus become a more powerful alternative to browsers that are currently leading this software category.

Microsoft hasn't yet confirmed development of Threshold 2, but pundits say that we're only weeks away from its release date, so expect more builds that are part of this branch to see daylight in the coming weeks.
