The whole world's waiting for Microsoft to roll out a new Windows 10 build, but in the meantime, you can always rely on Windows leakers across the world, who appear to be doing a terrific job when it comes to providing us with the latest in terms of preview releases.

As we told you yesterday, the first screenshots showing Windows 10 build 10558 reached the web and it took only a few more hours for us to finally get the ISOs that allow us to download and install this version on our own PCs.

Obviously, we won't provide you with any download links, but given the fact that Russian leaker WZor is the one who posted them online, it shouldn't be too difficult to find them with a few clicks.

What's new in build 10558?

One of the changes that Microsoft implemented in Windows 10 build 10558 is the addition of a messaging app, which is expected to be offered across all devices, including PCs and smartphones.

The Skype-based messaging app is also likely to be part of the next official release too, which, according to Gabe Aul, the chief of the Windows Insider program, is projected to debut sometime next week.

Microsoft is holding a Windows 10 hardware event on October 6, and the new build should arrive shortly after that, Aul explained, but it's not yet clear whether the company wants to bring the mobile version out first or the PC sibling.

For the moment, Windows 10 build 10558 seems to be another release focused mostly on bug fixes and performance improvements, with the addition of the messaging app clearly being the big star of the show right now.

Some other subtle tweaks here and there could also be implemented, but it remains to be seen how many of them will be part of the build that Microsoft plans to release to insiders next week.
