A new version of Windows 10 is up for grabs

While everyone’s waiting for a new Windows 10 build that would be released by Microsoft to participants to the Windows Insider program, new versions come through unofficial channels and provide us with an early look at some of the features that will be soon available to all.

This time, the build that got leaked is 10151 and it comes from China, just like the previous version that reached the web this way.

For now, it appears that only the zh-CN version is available, which means that it’s in Chinese, and only in 64-bit flavor, but with a little luck, an English build that would also be available for 32-bit configurations could also reach the web in the coming hours.

What’s new?

The first question that comes into everyone’s mind when hearing that a new build got leaked is what’s new and why should we download it?

Basically, Windows 10 build 10151 comes with most of the changes included in build 10154, but the latter obviously includes additional enhancements and improvements that are not available in the first.

Microsoft Edge will be part of the package, and so will some new icons for a bunch of apps, including Mail and Calendar. The Phone Companion app that allows users to connect their Android, iOS, or Windows Phone devices to a Windows 10 PC and sync content with Microsoft service is also available in this build.

As usual, Microsoft does not recommend anyone to install leaked builds and you should have in mind that no support or assistance is provided in case you come across something that doesn’t work correctly.

As for the next official release, expect it to land sometime next week, as we’re getting really close to the official July 29 launch and Microsoft has already promised “several” new builds till then.
