Yes, it's that time of the year again, when a new release of the Ubuntu Linux operating system approaches and everyone in the community goes nuts. So how about winning an Ubuntu Phone?

Canonical has just announced a new origami competition, where contestants can win a BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition smartphone just by folding an Ubuntu Wily Werewolf origami. However, be aware that there's only one device available, so make sure that it is you who will fold the best Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf) origami and win the powerful phone powered by Ubuntu.

"In March we held a competition that asked participants to create their best version of a Unicorn Origami to celebrate our design theme for the Ubuntu Phone. With the upcoming launch of 15.10, we’d love to see your best version of Wily Werewolf using your Origami skills," says Amrisha Prashar, Campaign and Social Media Manager at Canonical.

Here's how to fold a Wily Werewolf origami

OK, so here's what you have to do. First read the rules of the competition. Attached on the right you will find the instructions on how to fold the Wily Werewolf origami. Make sure that you download the two images and follow the steps exactly as presented there. If you miss a step, you will have to do it all over again, so take you time and be patient.

Once you finish folding the Wily Werewolf origami, you'll need to take a photo of it, but not any photo, so put your imagination to work and find a nice environment that will match with the contest's theme. To enter the competition, you must upload the photo to your Twitter account and use the #OrigamiWerewolf hashtag in the tweet.

That's it. There's no user voting this time, as one of the members of Ubuntu's design team will collect all the origami tweets and judge the best based on creativity, design, and complexity. And the winner will be announced on Twitter as well and he or she will receive a brand-new BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition smartphone.

Oh, we almost forgot to tell you a few words about the prize. The BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition phone comes with a big 5-inch IPS HD display that has a 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, it's powered by a MediaTek Quad-Core Cortex A7 CPU running at 1.3 GHz, 1 GB RAM, has 16GB of internal storage, and runs the latest version of the Ubuntu Touch mobile operating system.
