They’ve already drawn up an agreement, will file papers soon

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett have been married for 17 years, which is twice an eternity in Hollywood years. In recent years, they would often be plagued by divorce rumors, but they always managed to put them to rest.

Not so anymore, The National Enquirer claims in its latest print issue (story via CB). By the end of this summer, Will and Jada will be divorced, and they have already taken the steps to ensure that the split will have as little impact as possible on their 2 kids together.

Will and Jada are done, there’s no saving the marriage now

According to the usual “insiders,” Will and Jada have been struggling in their marriage for years. They tried everything to make it work, from counseling to agreeing to have an open relationship, but they have come to the realization that there’s nothing left for them to do but go their separate ways.

So they have been focusing on making the split amicable, keeping their children’s best interest in mind at all times.

They have drawn a confidential agreement that covers division of property and stipulations on their joint $240 million (€217.9 million) estate, but also custodial issues. They have also discussed the way they’ll be handling all divorce issues in front of their kids, son Jaden and daughter Willow, the report notes.

They’re “exhausted” from trying to make it work

As noted above, Will and Jada are said to have tried “everything” to make the marriage work, but to little effect.

Now that they have decided that there’s nothing more to be done, they’re preparing for the blowback, coming up with a plan on how to break the divorce news and then handle all interest in the topic.

“They’re exhausted from trying to maintain the façade of a happy union. They’ve decided to pull the plug in a carefully choreographed manner, [and] agree announcing their split at the end of the summer is the right move,” the insider says.

Admittedly, the split is already a done deal, save for the ink on the divorce papers. Both Jada and Will have already “moved on,” another source reveals for the tabloid.

This being The Enquirer we’re speaking of, the Smith divorce story would best be taken with a grain of salt, especially since it’s run before in older editions of the same publication. On the other hand, The Enquirer called out the Ben Affleck - Jennifer Garner divorce with months in advance, so maybe not all their sources don’t check out.
