Microsoft rolled out new cumulative updates for Windows 10, and this time the company shipped one extra patch, as the Creators Update is finally available for download.

The most important updates pushed today to Windows 10 PCs are for the Anniversary Update and the Creators Update, and they are KB4015217 and KB4015583, respectively.

What’s new in KB4015217

The list of changes for the update aimed at the Anniversary Update is huge and includes fixes for high CPU usage when sending an IP forwarding command or when weak host option is enabled.

Additionally, VPN drivers should now be migrated when upgrading to the Anniversary Update (though everyone should move to the Creators Update already), while issues with time zone information should no longer be there.

Microsoft says there are tons of security updates in this cumulative update and this perfectly makes sense because it’s Patch Tuesday, and some of the apps that are targeted by this release are Edge, Internet Explorer, and features like .NET Framework, Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, Windows Kernel model drivers and Windows OLE.

What’s new in KB4015583

In the case of the cumulative update shipped to Windows 10 Creators Update systems, the changelog is much simpler, as it includes only two fixes.

First of all, there’s a patch for issues with time zone information, and then, there are security updates for Windows 10 components and apps like Edge and IE.

Both these cumulative updates are shipped via Windows Update and you should install them right away. There are no reports of failed installs just yet and if you need more information, you can have a look at the full changelog in the box after the jump.

New cumulative updates aren’t expected anytime soon, so you'd better install these ones because they bring your system fully up to date and also fix the latest security issues that Microsoft is aware of.
