People can have a love/hate relation or be indifferent to smartwatches, after all, it's just a toy.

Some do not see the use of them, they hate to have another thing to charge or they hate the design. Some want round watches, some bulky watches, some just want a lot of skins for the watches not to get bored, etc.

This is my limited opinion, not an exhaustive study

Personally, I like the fact that Apple Watch is not round, and that is a paradox as I hate the square classic watches. I have tried some other smartwatches and my conclusion is that a "square" is the best form to maximize the touch surface functionality.

Anyway, at first, I used the Apple Watch for notifications and quick message replies, but after setting up the Health app in August 2016, I had the ugly revelation that I was far behind on my daily activity target! I was using the default settings for a sedentary lifestyle ~ 360 calories/day!

That was a big red flag and pushed me to change my lifestyle, so now I always exercise at least 30 minutes/day and I reach my target of 800 burned calories per day. It may not seem much for some of you, but for me, this was a revolution.

I'm a new man; I feel better, I can run 30 minutes and I've transformed some fat weight into muscles. My wife is telling me that I'm slowly transforming from "a round guy, into a triangle guy."

Apple Watch really changed my life for the better!

I've upgraded to Apple Watch 2.0 for two main reasons: swimming support and better battery life. When I run, I always take my iPhone with me, so the integrated watch GPS was not really a selling point.

I like my modular watch face and is the only one I use (attached to the article), so there is no complaint from me about the limited options when it comes to Apple Watch faces.

What do I want for the future versions of Apple Watch?

1. I want the option to have notifications on the iPhone and the watch at the same time. For some reasons, I seem to miss some notifications and this is really frustrating.

2. A total revamp of the Health/Activity app. It's like the two apps don't mix together. Activity is great and I can always appreciate some nice words besides badges, but Health App is a mystery.

3. Better battery life is always a good thing, maybe one day the battery will last one week.

4. I'm curious about Sleep Analysis, but for this, they really need to dramatically increase the battery life, as I charge my watch each night, when I sleep.

5. An integrated barometer is a must, as now Apple Watch does not know when you are climbing floors or mountains if you don't have your iPhone with you.

5. Speaking of the barometer, it should be really easy for Apple to integrate scuba diving functions too. The NOX computers are the grandfathers of today's smartwatches and I really hate to service those devices.

6. Blood glucose real-time non-invasive monitoring, if it's possible, can be very useful for athletes and life-saving for diabetics. Just the other day, I administrated some glucose to a diabetic child who was close to coma after a lot of activity.

7. Progressive sports training is totally missing. I found even the Nike edition really limited and poorly integrated with the watch. I know there are a lot of apps for that, but this should be integrated.

8. Constant heart rate monitoring could be used for some heart diseases (Fitbit can do it).

What I don't need on my watch?

1. I don't need a Facetime Camera! I really don't! I rarely use video chat, but I mainly use DUO, as not all my friends are using Apple products.

2. I don't need the ability to make calls without a phone (eSIM), as this functionality would be a battery killer.
