Palm's latest operating system called webOS had great potential since its launch. Unfortunately, a series of bugs and flaws prevented it to become a successful OS. Even though the smartphones running the webOS already received a series of updates, it seems that it remained “an OS with potential,” that still hasn't reached maturity.
For those of you that had the pleasure of using a Palm smartphone running webOS, here are some tips and tricks that could make your life easier, and who knows, maybe it will turn you into a power webOS user.
You smartphone comes with a Quick Launch bar that features four icons of most frequently used applications.
To add or replace application icons in the Quick Launch bar, simply open your launcher and tap and hold an icon in the Quick Launch bar until it lights up.
Then, try to move it to wherever you want in your launcher. Open your launcher and drag the icon you just added to the Quick Launch bar.
To quickly delete an application that you don't use anymore, open your launcher, tap the Orange button or gray square for Pre Plus, and tap the icon of the application you want to delete.
As soon as you tap the application's icon a window will pop-up where you can see information about the app, like version, developer and file size.
Besides being able to visualize the information you will also be given the option to delete that application.
There's also a quick and easy way to check in-depth information about a specific application that you are using.
You will just need to press Orange button, Sym and I key while in an open card. Doing this in card view, will make the detailed information to pop up in the launcher. To redux the process, simply press the same keys again.
Feel free to add more of these tips, especially if you're an advanced webOS user.
