Immediately after releasing the iOS 9.3 update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, as well as the OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan maintenance release for all supported Macs, Apple started seeding watchOS 2.2 to Apple Watch devices.

watchOS 2.2 is a small update for all supported Apple Watch devices, but it finally introduces the ability to connect multiple Apple Watches to a single iPhone device. Additionally, the Nearby feature was implemented in the Maps app, allowing users to discover new places around them.

Other than that, there's now system language support for Catalan, Romanian, Slovak, Ukrainian, and Croation languages, along with dictation support for English (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia), Romanian, Catalan, Slovak, Ukrainian, and Croatian.

Siri now supports Finnish, Hebrew, and Malay languages, and the frequency of background heart rate measurements has been increased when you're stationary. As usual, several minor bugs have been addressed, and various under-the-hood performance improvements have been implemented.

How to update your Apple Watch to watchOS 2.2

watchOS 2.2 is now live for all supported Apple Watch devices, including the Apple Watch (38mm) (Watch1,1) and Apple Watch (42mm) (Watch1,2) models, and to upgrade yours, you'll first have to update your iPhone to iOS 9.3.

Once you've updated your iPhone to iOS 9.3, open the Apple Watch app, go to the Updates tab, and you should see the watchOS 2.2 update. Press the "Download and Install" button, agree to the license agreement, and wait for it to be downloaded.

In the meantime, make sure that your Apple Watch's battery is charged over 50%. If not, connect it to the charger. Once the watchOS 2.2 software has been downloaded on your iPhone, it will be automatically sent to your Apple Watch device, where the rest of the update process will take place. Enjoy watchOS 2.2!
