This stunt is not for the feeble-hearted

Surfing is a challenging sport as is, there's no denying it. Even so, it looks like the adrenaline rush that comes with riding a mammoth wave just isn't enough for some people.

Looking to kick things up a notch, daredevil Jamie O'Brien of Hawaii recently went surfing while literally on fire. That's right, he actually had somebody set him ablaze and then took his surfboard for a joyride.

The stunt was caught on film, and the video, posted on YouTube just hours ago, is now understandably making the rounds. After all, how often does a guy set himself on fire only to make surfing more challenging?

It's unclear what cocktail of chemicals Jamie O'Brien used to start a fire on his back, but whatever the recipe, the concoction must have been especially brewed to produce a controlled blaze.

Otherwise, the flames would have engulfed his entire body in a matter of seconds, not to mention the fact that they would have burned straight through his suit, causing him serious injuries.

Just a few days ago, another devil-may-care adrenaline junkie grabbed headlines when he went surfing in the Pacific not on a regular board but on his motorcycle. Apparently, extreme sports are getting even more extreme these days.

Needless to say, trying to recreate either of these two stunts is a big no-no. Not unless you fancy the idea of spending a night or two lying in a hospital bed.
