Microsoft unveiled its new Windows 10 device portfolio at the dedicated hardware event in New York a few hours ago, so the company can now start the marketing process that's supposed to convince more customers across the world to give it a chance.

What we have here is the official Microsoft Devices video introducing the new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL, Band 2, Surface Pro 4, and Surface Book, all of which will go on sale later this month or year.

With the focus still on productivity, Microsoft describes these devices as the perfect companion for those who want to change the world, so it uses the “Do great things” tagline for its new phones, tablets, and laptops.

“When there are no limits to what your devices can do, there are no limits to what you can do with them,” the video description reads. Right now, the clip has nearly 50,000 views and more than 150 comments, all received in just a few hours, so Microsoft might be playing the winning card this time.

More devices to come from partners

Terry Myerson, chief of the Windows division at Microsoft, revealed that in the next few weeks, company partners would also present new devices running Windows 10 and the software giant will participate at all launches because it wants to support the entire ecosystem that's based on its products.

“And over the next couple of weeks, we’ll be joining some of our partners around the globe as they unveil their holiday device lineup, with great new devices from Acer, ASUS, Dell, Fujitsu, HP, Lenovo, LG, Panasonic, Toshiba, and more. Our partners have built some amazing new devices – and we have an exciting few weeks ahead of us as they unveil,” Myerson explained.

All these new devices are supposed to hit the shelves before the holiday season, so expect an avalanche of new laptops, tablets, and phones to see daylight in the coming weeks.
