Kittens like to play every once in a while, pups more definitely love playing, and as it turns out, humpback whales aren't exactly strangers to this pastime activity either.

Au contraire, they too enjoy making utter and complete fools of themselves on occasions, solely for the purpose of entertainment.

The video below was shot earlier this month off the coast of Nova Scotia in Canada by a woman named Sandy Seliga of Toronto, who was then whale-watching with other nature enthusiasts.

While sailing the local waters, the group came across a humpback whale that without a doubt was in the mood to have some serious fun.

The footage shows the marine mammal plunging out of the water with no warning and then landing with one great big splash. Understandably, Sandy Seliga and fellow whale watches go bananas.

Word has it the whale kept jumping out of the water for about 30 times before finally settling down and returning to its usual routine.

The video was shared on YouTube by the Conservation Council of New Brunswick just days ago and has already scored well over 1 million views. Apparently, everybody loves watching whales fooling around.

“Listen to those people blubbering... whale there you go... i did that on porpoise,” a viewer commented on the footage. “Whale you watch this video? Dolphinately,” another whale fan added.
