Just let the lava engulf the can and you're all set

Let's face it, opening a can of ravioli - or any other can, for that matter - is seriously tricky business, especially if you don't have the right tools for the job.

If you don't have a proper opener close by and aren't particularly handy with a knife, here is one very simple way to open a can of beef ravioli and make sure you don't go hungry: just let a flow of lava do all the heavy work for you.

The video below, put together by Hawaii-based photographer Bryan Lowry, shows what happens when a ravioli can is placed in the path of a lava flow.

As it moves to engulf the can, the incandescent molten material heats up the ravioli inside it just enough for the top to pop. Nice and simple, right?

True, the ravioli probably won't taste all that great, but you can at least try to lower your standards and give it a try. Unless the lava obliterates it, in which case you might want to order a pizza and quit the shenanigans.

“Bet that smelled good when it burned. Lava cooked lunch,” a viewer commented on this video. “I would have eaten that,” another one added.
