Because skiing on pure, white snow is so last year

Skiing is a winter sport. It's been one for millennia now because, well, it involves snow. The more and the whiter, the better.

Admittedly, there's also water skiing but, when you think about it, waves are, in a way, liquid snow, so at least this other sport doesn't break away from tradition all that much.

Then there's escalator skiing or whatever it is that the guy in the video below is trying to do. Now this is an extreme sport we can only hope won't pick up.

The footage, shared online just a few days ago, shows daredevil Daniel Freed Schwartz putting on a pair of skis and then gliding down three escalator flights.

“No snow? No problem. With a creative idea and the help of his friends, Daniel Freed Schwartz claims a first descent like none other, by skiing down a series of escalators,” reads the video's description.

There's no mention of where the man pulled this stunt, but we're gonna go out on a limb here and assume it was either a mall or a hotel.

Where else was he going to find three neatly arranged escalators, just perfect for his idea of a good time?

Thanks to his friends, who agreed to stand watch, Daniel Freed Schwartz didn't bump into anyone. Had he, chances are neither he nor his clueless obstacles would have walked away unharmed.
