If you have some time to spare and count yourself among those people who take a special interest in history, you might want to check out the video below.

The montage, put together by IJReview to celebrate the 240th anniversary of the US Army, shows what uniforms the country's soldiers have worn over the years, from war to war.

It covers precisely 240 years of US Army fashion history in merely 2 minutes, but you might want to replay it a few times to be sure you didn't miss anything.

The video debuts with the uniform US Army fighters sported during the Revolutionary War. In those days, dark blue was all the rage. During World War I and World War II, however, things changed.

Soldiers who took part in these confrontations wore uniforms that came in tones of green and brown. Then, in the Gulf Wars and the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars, camouflage prints became quite popular.

The montage ends with uniform US Army soldiers wear in this day and age. It's green, the camouflage print is easily noticeable and, at a first glance, might appear bulky and quite uncomfortable. Still, it's pretty fly.

In a Facebook post accompanying this montage of US Army uniforms from war to war, IJReview made sure to include a thank you to all the country's fighters, past and present. “240 years of Army uniforms: Happy Birthday, and thank you,” it wrote.
