14 DAY TRIAL // Taylor Swift dropped her brand new music video, for the single “Wildest Dreams,” last night, ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards 2015, taking place in Los Angeles. You can see it in full and in HD below.
This is the fifth single off Taylor’s wildly successful “1989” album, which she’s now supporting on tour, and it now has a visual companion directed by Josh Kahn, who has worked with Taylor before, every time to excellent results.
As teased by Taylor last week, this time, she got Scott Eastwood to play her love interest. Scott is the handsome son of actor, director and Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood, and he’s an actor himself. In his spare time, he models, and apparently, he also gets to make out with Taylor.
The video is retro-flavored and sees the two play love interest in a film shooting in Africa. They fall in love, but by the time the movie premieres, they’re no longer a couple. On the red carpet at the film’s premiere, Taylor (rocking some fierce retro fashion and a brunette wig) finds out that he’s been playing her and that he had been married all along.
Brokenhearted, she makes her escape in her personal, chauffeur-driven limo, as the handsome cheat runs after her. Predictably, it’s too late.
The video might not have a very complicated story but it’s beautiful in every way you could think of. The fashion is beautiful, the visuals are impressive and the styling of both leads is outstanding.
To make this even better, Taylor has pledged to donate all the proceeds from the video to “wild animal conservation efforts through the African Parks Foundation of America,” as announced at the end of it.
