14 DAY TRIAL // 2013 was the year that Miley Cyrus delivered the fatal blow to her Hannah Montana persona and then went and buried her in the backyard, never to look back again. That was the year when she twerked all over Robin Thicke during her performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.
One year later, Miley was back at the VMAs, but this time, she did not perform. Rumor had it that MTV was still under serious fire for allowing her to put on such a raunchy show the previous year, and that she would never again step up on that stage to sing.
But that’s obviously not stopping her from stepping up on that stage to do other things, like host. Miley has just confirmed on Instagram that she will be hosting the 2015 edition of the Video Music Awards, which will take place on August 30, at 9pm.
She did it by posting the photo attached to this post, with the caption, “[expletive] yeah VMAs!!!!! #VMAs on @MTV Aug 30 at 9pm.”
Even if she’s told to tone down her act a bit for the telecast, chances are good it will still be a very outrageous affair. After all, this is Miley we’re talking about and the Miley of today has nothing in common anymore with Disney Miley.
This new Miley doesn’t like clothes all that much, loves to dirty-dance and swear and smoke weed in public, which probably makes her a risk when it comes to hosting an awards show. Even if it’s one for MTV.
