He was right about everything, JT says on Twitter

At last night’s MTV Video Music Awards 2015, Kanye West was honored with the biggest distinction possible, the Michael Jackson Vanguard Award. While accepting it, he delivered a typically Kanye rambling speech that touched on a variety of topics, from Taylor Swift, to industry awards and Justin Timberlake, who somehow got dragged into the conversation while discussing a past edition of the Grammys.   

If you only caught that part about Justin and not the entire argument that Kanye was trying to make, it sounded as if he was shading him.

“I just, I sat at the Grammys and saw Justin Timberlake and Cee Lo lose,” Kanye said. “Gnarls Barkley and the ‘Sexyback’ album… Justin, I ain’t trying to put you on blast but I saw that man in tears bro. And I was thinking like, he deserved to win album of the year.”

Justin’s first tweet on the topic also seemed dismissive, reading that “Kanye is cute, y’all.” Probably realizing the kind of social media storm he was about to start, Justin came back with clarifications, as you can see below: he was joking with the “cute” comment, because he happens to agree with Kanye 100%.

Kanye’s acceptance speech is also included below in full. The other two snippets below should serve if you can’t see it because of where you’re from, but only in the sense of offering you a taste of Kanye’s rambling speech, because they don’t include the part about JT.
