Smartphone companies bet on innovation more and more when it comes to manufacturing products that catch the attention of the market and buyers alike. Vivo is one of the newer names in this game, and it's recently released a teaser poster for an upcoming handset that appears to be transparent.

Technology companies always push forward when it comes to innovation, and they may even draw inspiration from sci-fi movies and franchises, like the latest Captain America movie, “Civil War.” Indeed, the latest teaser poster that Vivo has released seems to showcase a transparent smartphone, according to a post on Weibo.

The device resembles the one Tony Stark held in a movie scene and that had the functionality of a phone, with a transparent display and advanced technology.

The “transparent” smartphone could be part of the Vivo X series

Vivo has recently released the Xplay 5 with 6GB of RAM, and the company is already working on a new handset. At this point, it’s unclear if the Vivo device will be part of the Vivo X series or if it’s the upcoming X7 or X7 Plus. Whatever the case, if it does prove to be transparent, then Vivo will surely leave its mark on the market.

The idea of a transparent smartphone is quite exciting, but it does seem a bit too optimistic. While a transparent display wouldn’t be such a difficult thing to achieve, we must take into consideration that all pieces under the case must be transparent as well.

The battery, processor, and other components must be see-through, and it’s quite hard to believe that Vivo has already managed to achieve such an innovation. In addition to that, the device should also come with a display on the back.

Still, a flicker of hope remains, and new leaks should confirm or deny this hypothesis soon enough.
