On January 5, Vivaldi's Ruarí Ødegaard proudly announced the immediate availability for download of the first snapshot build of the Vivaldi cross-platform web browser for 2016.

According to the changelog, which has been attached at the end of the article for reference, Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.365.3 comes with all sorts of improvements to all supported operating systems, including GNU/Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. Among the most important ones, we can mention the addition of some new settings and fixes for many of the annoying issues reported by users since the previous development milestone of the web browser.

"Last year was a very good year. We released two betas, four technology previews and more than fifty snapshots! None of which would have been possible without your feedback, bug reports and support. We can't thank you enough for all the help and encouragement you have provided the team," said Ruarí Ødegaard. "Of course we are not done yet, 2016 should be even better, as we work towards a final release and introduce even more features."

Final release of Vivaldi is expected later in 2016

As you can see from Mr. Ødegaard's quote above, the Vivaldi developers have big plans for 2016, as they want to ship the final release of the web browser, which is one of the most anticipated software products of the year. Of course, they also plan on developing new features before the final release gets out, so you should expect more snapshot builds in the coming weeks, as well as the first Release Candidate (RC) version.

If you like living on the bleeding edge, you can download Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.365.3 for either GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows or Mac OS X operating systems right now from Softpedia. However, please try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version, which means that we don't recommend installing it in your production environment. More details about the changes implemented in Vivaldi Snapshot 1.0.365.3 can be found in the release notes attached below.
