14 DAY TRIAL // Vivaldi's Ruarí Ødegaard informs Softpedia about the availability of a new snapshot for the Chromium-based web browser, post-Vivaldi 1.5 stable release, laying the groundwork for the next major update, Vivaldi 1.6.
Vivaldi Snapshot 1.5.676.6 is here to address over 20 bugs reported by users in previous versions of the web browser, which, apparently, did not make it into the final Vivaldi 1.5 release announced at the beginning of the week of November 21. It also introduces an exciting new feature related to tab management, namely the ability to select tabs by domain much more easily, as well as some startup improvements.
"Consider you're reading your online newspaper of choice and you open a bunch of interesting articles in new tabs, at some point things can get messy, and you might want to tidy up your tab bar. From today's build you can instantly select all tabs from the same domain by holding Ctrl and double clicking on one of the tabs," said Ruarí Ødegaard, Linux QA and Testing, Vivaldi.
Users will be able to easily tile selected tabs
The new tab management feature implemented in Vivaldi Snapshot 1.5.676.6 will allow you to easily tile the selected tabs via the right-click context menu, which can then be gathered into a stack, bookmarked, moved into a separate window, or closed all together using the Ctrl+W keyboard shortcut. The new snapshot also simplifies the drag-and-drop functionality around trashcan in trees and improves copy, paste, and cut for bookmark trees, Speed Dials, and the bookmark bar.
As mentioned before, the startup procedure has seen some great improvements, and the Vivaldi team would like you to test Vivaldi Snapshot 1.5.676.6 on your favorite platform and report if you notice any difference.
